No Procrastination in the New Year 2024…

I was doing so good…

The look of procrastination

Then I fell off in the last quarter of the year… but no more in the 2024 New Year 🙂

Procrastination is one hell of a drug. A drug because it fulfills a temporary need but doesn’t necessarily help in the long run. When it comes to life, consistency is key. And I definitely need to work on the consistency when it comes to this page. However, I was more consistent than 2022 and so at least there is progress!

But enough about me! How have y’all been? The new year is coming around and I am definitely being more proactive in planning what I would like life to look like for 2024. I’ve got a bunch of wellness, financial, travel and hobby goals that I would like to accomplish!

Goals

For the new year 2024, the goal is to continue creating a narrative based in the most absolute of all truths available. The key learnings I obtained this year are:

  1. A new world order is upon us.
  2. Men are really lagging behind when it comes to emotional intelligence.
  3. Empathy is fundamental for human survival.
  4. Collectivism > Individualism
  5. Solitude is imperative to develop character.

What are we leaving in 2023?

2023 seems to have flown by! Nevertheless, a lot of things have happened. These are my list of things I would like to see less of in 2024:

  1. Relationship podcasts… especially those programs that teach you to act in a particular way to attract a mate. It gives ‘I need someone to fill a void within myself’ tea. Just be yourself and the right person will follow.
  2. Gender Wars… this kinda falls in line with #1. But can we just be logical humans and avail ourselves to all the information we have available via research to do better?

New Year, New Beginnings

So what’s the plan for the new year? For me, it’s to gain freedom– freedom to engage with my family in more meaningful ways. This year I connected with my family more. Christmas was such a great time as we spent more time being fully present in the moment. I should be honest and say I instead of “we” because I have lacked an active presence since I am drained from work when I finally get to connect with the family.

I would love to travel more individually but also travel with my family and create great memories in novel places. I want to celebrate my family and give them the world because they deserve it. What I need, however, is more income to make sure that I am able to pay my mortgage and put healthy food on the table while engaging in these activities!

The great thing about the New Year is that it represents a reset. A break from the work-sleep-repeat throughout the year, to realign with personal goals. It’s unfortunate that is the case for most.

So here’s to the New Year: may it be more abundant in grace, favour and love. May it reveal to you direction, purpose and insights that will catapult you into your destiny. May you receive direct knowledge, wisdom, love and assurance from the Most High God to navigate accordingly in life and fulfill your dreams 🥂

Cheers to the New Year 2024!

Happy New Year !
